Trapped in Paradise

Ever heard the phrase, "trapped in paradise"? Well that phrase explains how I feel right now. Looking from the outside in people would believe I live a decent, OK life but that couldn't be further from the truth. Everyday I dream of the day I can just breakaway[insert Kelly Clarkson song] and really start enjoying my independent life! I promise to try to have ore upbeat posts soon and i'll even try to film a short glimpse about my island and a day in the life series!

General Elections results

As of now it appears unofficially as if the plp  has won the general elections of 2012. I will update in the morning on any changes as well as the official results of the elections. I will say that regardless of my political affiliation and vote, it was a fair election process today and the people have spoken and chosen who they see fit to run this country for the next five years.

General Elections Bahamas(2012)

Today was really exciting, it was general elections in my home the Bahamas today. It was extra exciting for me because it was my first time being able to vote. I won't say who i voted for since it was a secret ballot, but I voted with my future as well as the future of my fellow Bahamians in mind. I will be sure to update later on with the unofficial and official results of the elections, which are sure to be interesting since we actually had a viable third party for the first time in Bahamian history.

Life

Looking back on my life during the past 2 years, I can definitely say without hesitation that I am totally different  person than I was back then. I have learned and experienced first hand real pain, love and joy. During all of this you are really able to easily prioritize what is important and what actually matters in life. When it boils down, all you have is what do in this life and not the material things and wealth that you earn along the way. Also,  life does NOT always go the way you plan, and you have to learn to go with the punches or you will get left behind in this roller coaster of life.It's late here and I'm a little tired but I will elaborate further in future posts about what has occurred to change some of my views on life and what is my purpose here on earth.

Today is a very dreary and wet day in little ole' Nassau. But it's a good change from the usual sunshine.Lol! Seriously though, I really do like when it's a bit cool and rainy,I actually feel more energized and I actually get any personal projects i have out of the way.
It's too bad I don't this inspired everyday because I really want to pay more attention and actually do more with my natural hair. I have been natural for nearly 9 months but I have yet to master a style other than a puff or two strand twists (at least to my liking). So it is my goal to practice styling my hair at least three times a week, even if I'm not going anywhere. In a future post, I will definitely show some pics of styles that I have done on my hair.
